RARA is a story of survival; inspired out of a love for rare animals and rare art forms. Born in India, now living and working in Toronto, Radhika Maheshwar founded RARA as a way to revive and highlights the many ancient art forms and processes she grew up with. Giving the traditions a new life through modern interpretations, each collection depicts a unique endangered animal.
RARA designs designed in Canada, hand-finished by local women artisans, in India using 100% silk. Radhika donates 10% of profits toward the conservation of the animal featured in each collection.
