Engoulevent is one of our longest-running, most popular cuts, now in some gorgeous new prints for spring! It has capped sleeves, pleats at the waist, and front skirt pockets.

This sophisticated print has a complex and uplifting palette of navy, brown, turquoise, magenta, yellow and green. The colours come together in a beautiful and harmonious mix of geometrical shapes on a sky-blue background.

  • Both the exterior fabric and the lining of the dress are 100% cotton, and it closes with an invisible zipper down the back.
  • Engoulevent measures about 36" from shoulder to hem, and Hayley is 5'7" and wears our size 6
  • You can hand or machine wash this dress on a cold, delicate cycle, and hang it to dry.
  • Made in Canada.

Birds of North America is a contemporary line of women's clothing founded in 2007 by designer Hayley Gibson in her home town of Victoria, BC.  Their studio is now located in the Junction Triangle area in Toronto where all of the design, pattern making, grading, marker-making, and stock processing take place. Every item of Birds' clothing is proudly and ethically made in Canada by a team of cutters and sewers in the historic garment district of Chabanel in Montréal.

The use of high-quality materials and methods of construction, the flattering cuts, and unique vision of Birds has fostered an enthusiastic community of loyal followers. The collection is available in a size range of 2-18, and customers often remark that the clothing feels as though it was thoughtfully fitted to their bodies. Birds of North America's first retail location, and flagship store, opened at 1114 Queen Street West in Toronto's vibrant West Queen West neighbourhood in 2018.
