OKAYOK
OKAYOK is a Toronto-based brand creating elevated basics for women, men and children. Through its off-beat statement pieces, the brand expresses equal parts colour, humour and detail. All garments are made in the Toronto area and the graphic and textile designs are created in house. Local is important to OKAYOK, as is minimizing their carbon footprint. Striving to make the best garments possible with materials and manufacturers in reach, pieces are created using cotton milled in Scarborough, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. Their un-dyed basics are sewn in Etobicoke, Ontario and in the OKAYOK studio. All graphics are designed and applied in the studio above the OKAYOK shop. Found fabrics, end of rolls and dead-stock materials are used as much as possible for one of a kind pieces and limited edition runs. As of fall 2019, OKAYOK started incorporating re-purposed vintage into their range.
Designer Adrienne Butikofer has been selling her work in Toronto since the early 2000's. Though it has taken many forms over time, her work is always playful, graphic and colourful. OKAYOK was launched in September 2017 and is an authentic fit to Butikofer's natural design aesthetic.
